WINTER 2025

Drama Workshops (Grades 3-5)

Registration is CLOSED!


What: Develop skills for the Talent Show and Drama Production. Participants will build confidence by practicing expression, vocal projection, storytelling and movement, through games and exercises.


Dates: Wednesdays, 1/8-29 @ 3-4:30pm 


Location: Choir Room

Arts After School (Grades 1-2)

Registration is CLOSED!


What: Multi-media art workshop; come get creative with local artists! 


Dates: Mondays, 2/3 – 3/3 @ 3-4:30pm

Talent Show (Grades 3-5)

Registration is CLOSED!


What: Whether you sing, dance, perform magic, or have any other special skills, we want to see you in action. Come audition with your act well-prepared. 


Dates: 

Auditions: Monday, 2/3 – Wednesday, 2/5 @ 3-4:30pm

Rehearsal: Thursday, 2/27 – Thursday, 3/6 @ 3-4:30pm

Optional Practice: Mondays & Tuesdays, 2/24, 2/25, 3/3, 3/4 @ 5-7pm

Talent show: Friday, 3/7 @ 5pm

Ultimate Frisbee (Grades 3-5)

Registration is CLOSED!


What: This 2-week camp will introduce the sport's fundamentals. Through drills and games, students will learn the rules, techniques, and most importantly the 'Spirit of the Game' which places the responsibility of fair play solely on the players by requiring each child to exercise the rules without the help of a referee. These principles teach mutual respect and trust between players, plus communication and conflict resolution, while building self-confidence, both on & off the field.


Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays, 3/24 – 4/2 @ 3-4:30pm

Fit-For-Bloomsday Run Club (Grades K-5)

Registration is CLOSED!


What: Run with your friends and prepare to race!


When: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3/18 – 5/1 @ 7:20-8:20am


Bloomsday events:

Jr. Bloomsday (grade 3-7) – Sunday, 4/13

Marmot March (grades 3rd & under) – Saturday, 5/3  >> space limited! 

Bloomsday (all ages) – Sunday, 5/4

Girls on the Run (Grades 3-5)

Register: Friday, 2/7 -  Friday, 4/18 


What: Girls on the Run is a transformative after-school program that empowers elementary school girls through movement, building their confidence, and fostering healthy relationships. Trained coaches guide participants through dynamic lessons that blend physical activity with life skills development, culminating in a Celebratory 5K event! 


When: Mondays & Thursdays, 4/14 – 6/5 @ 3-4:30pm 


Wish to volunteer? email Lindsay, Exec Director of GOTR Spokane; No running experience required, just bring your positive influence to co-lead the team through engaging pre-planned lessons. Training is provided.


Note: Girls on the Run is a National Orgranization partnering with Spokane Schools. The fees associated are set by Girls on the Run.

Sacajawea Art Collaborative (Grade 5)

Registration is CLOSED!


What: Join students from other schools for a Visual Art Workshop at Sacajawea. Students bused to Sac; guardians pick up at Sac.


Dates: 

     Session 1: Wednesdays, 2/19 & 2/26  ***OR*** 

     Session 2: Wednesdays, 3/5 & 3/12  


Time: 3-5:15pm

Science Fair (Grades 3-5)

Register: Monday, 1/6 – Tuesday, 2/11; Information packets & signups in the Science Room. 


What: Pick a topic and share your discoveries using a display board and a model or experiment.


When: Tueday, 2/25; Students set up their projects @ 8am for judging, in advance of STEAM Night that evening @ 5-7pm

Audition Signups: Monday, 3/17 – Friday, 3/21; Students pick up & return packet @ Mrs. Edwards’ room.

Cast announced: Monday, 3/31


Rehearsal: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 4/15 – 6/11 @ 3-4:30pm


Performance: Friday, 6/13 (time TBD)

Robotics - Explore (Grade 3)

Register: Monday, 3/17 – Friday, 3/28; Students pick up & return packet @ Ms. Smulkowski’s room. 


What: 6-week club where students will learn basics of research, presentation, and Lego robot design and programming powered by LEGO Education SPIKE Essential.


When: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 4/15 – 5/21 @ 3-4pm
